Free Medical Treatment and Support for Rasuwa Flood-Affected and Injured Citizens

Lumbini Medical College and Teaching Hospital Limited (LMC) expresses its deep sorrow over the significant loss of life and property caused by the devastating floods in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, and other riverbank areas. We extend our heartfelt condolences to all those who have lost their lives and our deepest sympathies to the bereaved families. We also wish for the speedy recovery of all injured and affected citizens.
LMC has always been committed to providing healthcare and necessary assistance with a spirit of humanitarian service during natural disasters, pandemics, and other emergency situations. Supporting the protection of life and ensuring access to healthcare during times of disaster is an important part of our social and humanitarian responsibility.
Considering the serious situation faced by citizens affected and injured by the recent floods in Rasuwa, LMC is committed to providing free health examinations, medical treatment, and emergency healthcare services to flood-affected and injured citizens.
In accordance with the decision of the Government of Nepal to carry out the Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) process for the identification and management of unidentified deceased persons, LMC has also extended specialist support. Prof. Dr. Alok Atreya from the Department of Forensic Medicine at LMC has been supporting the forensic identification process at Bharatpur Hospital and Gaindakot Nagar Hospital in Chitwan, working continuously with multidisciplinary forensic teams, including pathologists and dental surgeons.
We would also like to inform the public that deceased persons who lost their lives due to the floods and require identification have been brought by the Nepal Police and are being safely preserved at the LMC mortuary for the identification process.
In this difficult situation, injured and affected citizens can coordinate with LMC and access necessary medical treatment and healthcare services. The hospital will also provide support for specialist consultations, emergency treatment, and other required healthcare services as needed.
LMC remains committed to standing together with the Government of Nepal, health and security authorities, local governments, organizations, and the general public through necessary coordination, cooperation, and humanitarian service during this national emergency.
