- Valid poverty line certificate from local government
- Annual household income below NPR 100,000
- Recommendation from ward office or municipality
Senior Citizens
Patients aged 65 years and above seeking medical treatment at LMC Teaching Hospital.
Eligibility
- Age 65 years or above (valid citizenship required)
- Senior citizen identity card
- No other insurance coverage for the treatment
Persons with Disabilities
Patients with certified physical or mental disabilities requiring medical care.
Eligibility
- Disability identity card issued by the government
- Medical certificate confirming disability status
- Recommendation from relevant disability organization
Free Health Camp Referrals
Patients referred through LMC-organized free health camps in rural communities.
Eligibility
- Referral letter from LMC health camp medical officer
- Treatment must be related to condition identified at camp
- Follow-up within 30 days of health camp
Natural Disaster Victims
Patients affected by earthquakes, floods, landslides, or other natural disasters.
Eligibility
- Disaster victim certificate from local authority
- Treatment related to disaster-caused injuries or conditions
- Valid within 6 months of disaster declaration
Staff & Faculty Dependents
Immediate family members of LMC employees including spouse, children, and parents.

- Valid LMC employee ID of the staff member
- Proof of relationship (marriage/birth certificate)
- Currently employed at LMC (not applicable to former staff)
How to Apply

Visit Patient Welfare Office
Submit your application at the Patient Welfare Office located on the ground floor of the hospital building.
Verification Process
Our welfare team will verify your documents and assess eligibility within 24-48 hours.
Receive Discount Card
Once approved, you will receive a discount authorization card valid for the specified treatment period.
